The Warehouse Theatre
Founded in 1974 and moving to an award-winning renovation of a former cotton warehouse in 1999, The Warehouse Theatre is the cornerstone of Greenville’s historic West End, the city’s thriving arts and entertainment district. They are committed to creating high-quality professional work that is vital, diverse, and adventurous. They aim to inspire and challenge their audiences and artists alike through cutting-edge productions that are not available anywhere else in the Upstate.

The Peace Center
Founded in 1990, The Peace Center is situated along the Reedy River, at the heart of the city. With a variety of world-class indoor and outdoor event spaces, the Peace Center is a six-acre downtown destination offering a diverse mix of exceptional performances, leading-edge architecture, and historic preservation. It’s a nationally recognized presenting theater, and Greenville’s epicenter for entertainment, arts, culture, and education.

Centre Stage
Founded in 1983, Centre Stage is a year-round, 285-seat regional theater offering a wide range of entertainment within easy walking distance of historic Falls Park and the many shops and restaurants that line downtown Greenville’s Main Street corridor. Augmenting its subscription season of music, comedy, and drama, the theater also hosts art exhibitions and other special events inside the performance facility noted for its unique configuration, comfort and intimacy. Centre Stage productions draw on largely local talent and its programming places particular emphasis on established works of the modern repertoire and new works. Its annual New Play Festival (NPF) receives submissions from playwrights around the country and abroad. Playwright Lee Blessing (2007 NPF Playwright-in-Residence) has described the festival as “one of the most important elements of contemporary play development (in) the region.”

South Carolina Children's Theatre
South Carolina Children’s Theatre (SCCT) was founded in 1987. In 2020, after a multi-year capital campaign, they opened a new state-of-the-art theatre facility in downtown Greenville where they host live theatre productions, education classes and camps, community events, and so much more. SCCT serves over 30,700 children and their families each year through performances, education programs, community engagement partnerships, and other events. Their mission is to empower and inspire a new generation of changemakers through theatre.

Greenville Theatre
Greenville Theatre is the Upstate’s oldest and largest locally producing professional theatre company. Now entering its 100th season, since it was originally established in 1926, making it the first arts organization in the Upstate. They offer productions of plays and musicals made by the community and for the community, in addition to specialty concert and events and educational programming.
There are five theatrical venues across downtown Greenville.
